milk Watch the Presentation at SIGGRAPH 2009 about Milk Sad Princess, Absolut Dissection and Audi Synchronized Lighting the Waves - Behind the Scenes of Milk from vimeo (you need to be logged in) This film shows a breakdown of lighting and rendering all scenes involving CG Ocean Waves. It shows all the rendered passes and elements used for composing the final image and also the 3D scenes from a different perspective than the rendered Camera. Thanks to Jacob Slutsky for the additional Real Flow splashes and Jimmy Gass for the additional particle simulations on the crest of the waves. Rigging the Waves - Behind the Scenes of Milk from vimeo (you need to be logged in) This film demonstrates a rig for computer generated ocean and water waves. In particular the creation and animation of linear and radial waves types. The surface of the water is additionally being deformed by 'Tessendorf's Waves'. Thanks to Andreas Gebhardt for importing those into Softimage XSI.
